The Architect

At rest while the world passes by,
I've closed down the lid of each eye.
My bronze has wood grain;
What goes on in my brain?
I often consider the sky.

The Architect, by Jilly Sutton, on the south bank of the Tames, in the grounds of Cotton's Centre, part of the London Bridge City Sculpture Exhibition.
