Sunrise
There were a variety of things to photograph in the garden today. First a sunrise, but the sun soon disappeared and there were even a few flakes of snow, for about thirty seconds. Then two woodpeckers appeared at the same time, a Great Spotted Woodpecker on the feeder and a Green Woodpecker in the grass. These were followed by a squirrel; I have not seen any squirrels lately so I think they have been hibernating. All this wildlife and I did not have to leave the kitchen!
I was going to blip the Green Woodpecker, but it was not particularly sharp so I choose the sunrise instead. Hopefully the Green Woodpecker will visit again another day, but they are more difficult to photograph as do not come as close to the house as the other birds; I think a new lens is called for.
The sun came back out again and it is a nice day although very windy. I have visited my daughter today and we have done each other's nails; now to cook roast duck.
Thanks for all the comments and stars on my raindrop from two days ago; they are all very much appreciated.
