"Killing your darlings"

....I like that saying as I think it expresses something true about what we sense as beautiful, nice, pleasant, etc., that it can develop into a hang-up which we timidly and spasmodically hold on to....and miss the creative possibilities potentially present in the failures, the ugly, the not nice...etc.

BTW! Tonight it was one of those magically beautiful summer evenings when everything gets an aura of eternity and time stands still for a few warm and shining hours! I took lots of potential blips this enchanting evening, yet I chose this failure where I couldn't hold the camera still (being true to my quasi-philosophical exposition above!). Beauty just can be to much!
