Orange!

It's not a good photo - just a quick snap while we were making dinner - but it captures D's fascination with this orange. He's fond of balls at the moment, and loves bright colours, so when he saw me holding this orange he reached out for it. He spent several minutes playing with it before I decided that I needed to get on with dinner. I was zesting and juicing the orange to mix with goat's cheese, chopped dried apricots, herbs, black pepper and flaked almonds - a stuffing for chicken breasts. D had beef cooked with onion, garlic, coarse grain mustard, bay leave, oregano, mace and stock in a pressure cooker (instead of 2 hours stewing!). It was the first time I'd tried a pressure cooker and it was brilliant - the local meat is not hung, so can be quite tough unless it's stewed for hours.
