Into the light

I went to see War Horse at City Screen. A fine film, a full on big screen, big budget movie, but although I found parts of it moving, with particularly brilliant and epic battle scenes, it didn't have the impact I was expecting. Maybe because I'm not a horse lover, maybe because of the over bucolic English country village scenes, maybe because of the over lit scenes, I enjoyed it as a 'big' film but only in the way I did Avatar...
But do go see.
