Empty Nest

This afternoon, I took a little ride to Woodville, at the south end of Canandaigua Lake. It was quite an awesome expedition...the winds were picking up and felt as though they might literally cut right through me!

(Murphy was oblivious...sound asleep in the truck!)

I walked over near the boat launch area and as I was walking back, my eyes lighted upon a most intricate nest resting upon brush not more than four feet from the ground!

Upon closer inspection, I have to say this nest was incredible-much more substantial than any other I have seen before. Not only is mud, twigs, and grass incorporated into it, but also moss!
