Notes for my next essay.


I like to handwrite notes - it doesn't feel right doing them on a computer, no flow for some reason.

That reminds me of one of the lecturers; she is an excellent speaker, but always gets annoyed with people scribbling down notes, explaining that the slides will be available on the uni website so we're not to 'trouble ourselves'.

This, in turn, annoys me as I need to write down the important information to have any hope of retaining it. Reading it is not the same. I wonder if she feels we can't be listening if we're furiously writing? I like to think people can do both. It's very strange how irritated it makes her. Never mind, I have to continue taking notes despite her pointed glances, although I fear for her stress levels.
