Basking in Sunshine

I had other photos picked out to use, but I kept coming back to this. There are several American Goldfinches here. I've used them several times for blip. I think they just like having their photo made. The other birds certainly don't sit as long for a photo as the goldfinch does. I did find its black & white feathers rather striking today.

They travel in a large group, and are like little vacuum cleaners at the feeders. So if you provide a good lunch for them, they will certainly stay :)

As you can see, sunshine returned for part of the day. Both me & the little goldfinch here were enjoying a bit of sunshine on our faces...

PS... I just noticed last years blip was of course the goldfinches being little vacuum cleaners... ha
