Clock Tower Dunkeld Cathedral

An excellent day for a brisk walk. Destination today was Dunkeld, a lovely wee town in Perthshire. The walk takes you past Dunkeld Cathedral from where you can access the walk alongside the River Tay. The river was swollen and moving fast. We moved along at a good pace too as there was a very cold wind.

The Cathedral dates from about 1400 AD. The choir is open for Sunday worship but the rest of the building is undergoing renovation and restoration tasks which keep skills in traditional workmanship alive.
