Bit Muddy
Went for a walk today.
Didn't go too far. Headed to the Cleish Hills which are just the ther side of the Forth from Edinburgh.
On the drive north, we passed a HM Coastguard vehicke, I commented to my walking partner that is was a bit off track. As we passed we noticed it was pulling a small trailer which had on the side "Mud Rescue Unit"
Anyway, a little later, we set off for a wander which started by the shores of Loch Glow. The planned route involved a walk round the loch, up a few small hills, and through some forest.
I think we may have taken a wrong turn at some point. The dense conifers were proving tricky, as were the many fallen very large trees blocking paths from the Hurricane a few weeks previous. But we soldiered on.
That's when I attempted to cross a stream. Next thing I knew, I was knee deep in mud. Could hardly move..... where was that mud rescue unit when you need it it.
Anyway, we survived. Was a blue sky day. Still bloomin freezing though on the peaks.
