Well, disaster struck yesterday and the shutter has jammed on the camera, rendering it useless. I spent most of yesterday fiddling with it but to no avail, the camera is no more.
Repairs or a replacement camera are both not an option, as I simply just do not have the funds for such expenses. Even if I had the money, repair would be just throwing good money after bad, as you see from the blip, all the pixel problems, in addition to the resident manual focus problems. I need a new camera, but that is just not going to happen any time soon.
My ex-wife is looking around for me, to see if she can get her hands on a loaner for me, but I am not holding my breath, as I really need something with manual focus capability.
So, it looks as though my blip journey has come to an abrupt end, but rest assured, I will be back, I just don't know when. I am quite devastated, as I am well and truly hooked on blip, it is a part of my life now and I am in pain.
Thankyou to all my regulars, who have encouraged and supported my blip endeavors, you are a wonderful community that I feel privileged to be a part of. I will keep in touch with comments and hopefully I will find a resolution soon.
