Milestone Day

Today was the first day of the school year for 2012 and the first day of school for this young man.

I am amazed by the confidence of the children as they start each school year. They go into a class with new classmates, a new teacher to take on new challenges all with an eagerness that I find inspiring. It made me think of the times that I have started a new job and the nerves that I experienced, then I try to imagine those feelings in a child - unreal.
