Joji the Jidaigeki Engine

"You have been doing such a good job on the Hanshin Line recently, Joji," said the Fat Controller, "that I am going to let you wear the latest advertising decals."

"Oh, thank you sir," said Joji, and trundled off, rather proudly, to tell all the other engines in the shed.

The next day, Joji made his way along the Hanshin Line with some extra power in his gearbox. All the passengers gasped whenever he pulled into a station. Many of them even took photographs of him, he looked so splendid in his new trappings.

"Thank you, Joji," one passenger said. "You have provided me with today's blip." Joji had no idea what a blip was, but he was pleased to have been of service. As he always is.
