Boiling

Usually, when I try to bring the water to a simmer and then add the macaroni, all the water in the pot suddenly turns into a huge mass of foam that flows on the stove.

Today, I actually managed to keep all of the water in the pot and only very little foam got out (but not on the stove!) through the holes on the lid.
