Big Bang

A beautiful crisp day. Had a lovely walk home and was greeted by two books that I had bought & ordered with some Christmas money. They are full of more crafty projects, so I have spent the afternoon with a cup of tea in hand & perusing all the little projects. Looking forward to giving them a go.

This picture was taken on my way home. It is of the Russian cannon that stands outside Ely Cathederal. Beside it is a plaque that reads:

'Russian cannon, captured during the Crimean War, presented to the people of Ely by Queen Victoria in 1860 to mark the creation of the Ely rifle volunteers'
