The art of neglect

This is a shed door I pass by fairly often, I've had it mentally bookmarked as "HBP*" since starting this project, and I stopped quickly to take a couple of photos of it on the return leg of the afternoon school run today. I really love how much history is visible in the weathering of the paint, and also that there is no deliberate or fast way to create things like this; they only occur through a lack of attention and effort instead of requiring the application of both - to me that only adds to the appeal.
