A Greenland & 5 European White-fronted Geese
The Greenland bird (left-hand bird) has the orange bill and has darker plumage than the European (Russian) bird which has a pink bill. Just googled Greenland as I thought that's European as well! - Seemingly it's actually North America. Anyway these birds were at Loch of Kinnordy Today.
I'd toured round Arbroath and Montrose hunting for and failing to find any white-winged gulls before ending up at Loch of Kinnordy. A good days bird watching though with nine birds added to the year list: Razorbill, Red-breasted Merganser, Eurasian White-fronted Goose, Greenland White-fronted Goose, Whooper Swan, Tufted Duck, Smew, Wigeon & Gadwall. We're up to 62 now.
