Service!
There is one beach that I have seen from the train on the way to Aberdeen that I have longed to visit. It's between Montrose and somewhere else (name escapes me) and it has soft white sand and cliffs and it's beautiful. So, we visited it today with a happy cocker who dug holes and got her nose covered in sand. Norjim, my friend in Aberdeen met us and we had a lot of catching up to do so with dry mouths and rumbling stomachs, we headed to Edzell and found a cute little tea room/shop. Oh, the cakes, they were just amazing - and the only seat available was right next to them so mu resistance went out the windown and I had home made soup and then one of my favs, Empire Biscuits. I am an authority on them. Some places they are too dry, some are too soft, but these were just perfect, right consistency of icing and jam. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Then, as we were sussing out a posh country house, (think of Downton Abbey) for my husband taking the wedding photos, we tore ourselfs away from the cafe and arrived at this amazing house. Norjim and I posed in the library, the bathrooms and also on the grand staircase. I was so glad she was there to act as model, the photos wouldn't have looked the same with me in them.
Here is Norjim summoning one of the maids to come and bring us Afternoon Tea and scones! LOL.
(BTW her real name is Gillian, Norjim is the first bits of her Mum and Dad's names. By that, I am Dope!! Hee Hee
(Big internet problems last night - it was down - I let me hubby call Virgin Media as I have lost the will to live with them. They took £10 off this months bill!
