A fruitless walk to the mere this afternoon, including two steps too far which resulted in mud up to my knees! Thankfully I was wearing gaiters, no harm done.

Anyway ended up not taking any shots of the murmuration. To be honest I don't even know if it took place as the mere was beyond trees and very wet ground.

Came home and tried someepxeriments with drops of water, good fun if a little frustrating.

It's only now as I post the image that I realise the iso setting is on 1600, doh!
