Caught, and asked to leave.

Rightly enough, our cats' inablity to catch our mouse was because it was a rat.

It was located on the bottom shelf of my bookcase, in the location shown here.

After deciding to remove books in an exploratory fashion, I was actually face to face with said vermin. We then made a makeshift barrier leading into the hallway and chased it out. The picture was taken after a thorough bleach and clean of the room.

I actually chased the rat down the street accompanied by my Dad. It came back the way and jumped at one of our cats!

I eventually chased it away into some undergrowth (admittedly very near another house)...
