Bus Stop

We saw the recent film My Week With Marilyn and then started looking up her old films on the internet - Bus Stop made in 1956 was partially filmed here in the Ketchum/Sun Valley area, at the North Fork Store which we drive by on all our ski days. So today I stopped to creep over a snow bank and capture it - there was a yellow permit on the window so I bet it won't look like it's movie self in the future - I believe that the film included interior shots of this location.

New snow on the trails was a delight - I used my skate skis and if the light were not so flat and if I had taken my camera I would have shot my long downhill skate marks in the untouched snow. It was a thrill to sail on one leg for maybe 12 meters, and then the other. But I needed gravity to do that, otherwise it was push push push push uphill. Hard work but fun!
