Nothing is lost in the Universe

This is not the bodhi tree that Buddha sat under, just a querky[!] companion to our garden Buddha.

Nothing is lost
in the Universe.
Dead leaves
turn into earth.
Seeds sprout
and become new plants.
We are born
of our parents,
our children
are born of us.
We are the same
as plants and trees,
as other people,
as the rain that falls.
If we destroy
anything at all,
then we destroy
ourselves.
If we cheat another,
we cheat ourselves.

Simple truth,
bad deeds come home to roost.
