Iron wheels engulfed by the sea.
A decent day here, with little wind. I made a but of a late start and headed to Brig o' Waithe where the Loch of Stenness meets the Bay of Ireland. I think the bay's name is a corruption of the Norse name 'Erlend' rather than anything to do with the country. I walked the shore of The Bush and around The Dead Sand, along Cumminess as far as the Hall of Ireland , then up the Burn of Ireland to the mill and along the road back to Brig.
Someone saw a white morph gyr falcon heading this way but it eluded my hawk-eyed gaze. I should trade it in for a falcon-eyed gaze.
This is of a pair of wheels from farm machinery down on the shore. See them here.
