gran's piano
This piano has made a few journeys now: Cookstown to Belfast; Belfast to Edinburgh; to two other flats in Edinburgh; and now here, finally, in my new home. Here to stay.
I wonder if gran ever thought it would get here and if she hoped I'd still play. Every time I sit down at it, I remember her playing hymns and us singing together. We both loved it.
This was her favourite song for us to sing: As the Deer.
I'm not particularly religious, but I can't help but be moved by it; maybe that's just because of the memories it invokes.
This is the picture that's sitting on top of the piano in today's blip - it's of my gran and grandpa on their honeymoon. What a photo.
