Aqua Rose

It's my Mums' birthday 63rd today..... I had flowers delivered to her whilst I was at work.
It's always went against the grain to give flowers, it just seems like I've not put much thought into it...... I only say this because I am a florist to trade.
I was a florist for 21 years, until my life changing day... quite how I changed from a florist to a surfacing technician making optical lenses, I'm not sure.
Being a florist is probably not at all the nice job that people imagine it to be... there are long shifts, early starts, dealing with death on a daily basis, lugging pails of water around to deal with, not to mention very little sleep on days such as Mothers Day, Christmas and Valentines day.

I can't say I miss the trade at all, and it is nice to look at flowers now and see how pretty they are, when you see them every day their beauty gets lost.

This is an Aqua Rose that was in my Mums handtied bouquet.... I prefer normal shots but I thought I'd try playing around with this one for a change....
