Waiting

Gifts that simply wait, without complaint, for the time to be used of their master.
My wife and I feel a bit like that as we have applied for residency here in Israel. We just wait, and wait, and wait. We are aware that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has called us to be here at this time in history. We constantly remember that history is His Story. We are but players on the stage of time, waiting in the wings for our cue to come on stage to recite our lines in this enormous play. We want to do well, we are continually looking at the script but only the director knows when we come to the part we are in.
In the meantime, we wait like this hat and guitar which have no idea when they will be called upon.
