Boat train from Victoria.....

This is indeed a boat train from Victoria but the photo was snapped during the dress rehearsal of my production of Sherlock Holmes. A set of a huge slightly abstract library caters for the twelve locations mentioned in the script and a surprisingly effective train journey is conjured up with eight suitcases, some good movement, a few whistles, some great sound effects, some flickering lights, and much much smoke. So much more effective than wheeling on a literal train - it's created in a couple of seconds, and gone as quickly.
