Lens Test
For a while I've been looking at Canon's 15-85mm EFS lens. Although it doesn't have a wide aperture it has a useful extension at both ends of the scale to the Sigma 18-50 that I've been using as a replacement kit lens. Today took the plunge and got one from Ffordes (situated in an old kirk of Wester Balblair near Beauly). I was expecting to get it slightly cheaper as ex-demonstration but in fact it was brand-new. A year's guarantee but no box as originally it came with a camera attached. On the way back I pulled off the road to get a shot of the Beauly Firth intending to blip. Had things to do at home but had to try the new toy and took a couple of shots of the garden. In this composite both halves are taken from exactly the same spot but on the left is the left half of the "wide" end shot and on the right is the right half of the shot at 85mm.
