Crocuses

or is it croci, or even just crocus? Who knows. Well not me anyway.

However, it looks like spring is arriving, although compared to some areas of the country, we appear to be getting next spring late.

I always remember when I was young, my dad reciting a few lines of poetry, in a cod Brooklyn accent, by way of Yorkshire.

Spring is sprung, the grass is ris.
I wonders where the birdies is.
They say the birds is on the wing.
Ain't that absurd?
I always thought the wing was on the bird.

And thank you all for your comments re my 200th blip. As for the next 100 - as it said somewhat repeatedly on my school report. Must try harder.
