It's trailkill.

I wonder if the bicyclist who ran over this chipmunk was even aware of what he/she had done. The poor little thing was left on the trail to die.

A couple rode by as I snapped this photo and they looked at me as if I had a fetus attached to my head (if you get the reference, you're awesome). They probably thought I was a sadistic freak with a fetish for dead animals. Oh well.

In related news, I rode my bike 20 miles today. Whew.
