An Everyday Rocket

Rocket Along the Evening Commute, 2

This is the Capitol Building, with some slight filtering to accommodate for the poor clarity the mobile produces on night shots. Just a little reminder to myself of the amazing sights I pass by every day humping it in and out of the city.

If anyone has pointers on low-light shooting with an iPhone, I would welcome them!!

Also, a poem of sorts (part of the effect was the formatting, which is slightly lost, but c'est la vie - originally each line beginning with "..." was tabbed, so the lines stepped outward from the margin). I sent this to a couple close colleagues and white knight, who thought it was worth a share. It's maybe the third or fourth poem I've written in my life, normally not my thing, but today's event just called for one.

"Today I" by ag (aka rocket) (envision this in five year old script, please)

Today I...
...sat in a meeting...
...felt my brains begin to melt...
...tried to stay on task while people visited my cube to gripe...
...decided I would be more productive participating in "cleaning day."

And am glad I...
...wore jeans and a long-sleeve tee...
...deep-scrubbed my cube and completely re-arranged it...
...cleaned and organized the shared area around and under the printer.

Lastly, I am wondering...
...what the value of my productivity was today...
...and if you are both logging this email under the same "future comedy book" folder as, ahem, certain individuals here.

Happy Hump Day!
