Today I finally mustered up the courage to start a new photo project. I signed up about 6 months ago with the 100 Strangers Project on Flickr but never got around to actually starting.

The challenge: Take at least 100 photographs of 100 people you don't know. Approach anyone or a group of people, ask for permission to both take a photo of them and to post it to this group. Get to know your stranger/s. Who are they? What is their life like? etc.

My first stranger is Stan. It was both intimidating and a bit scary same time exciting! Scary because there was a chance that he'd say a flat out NO (who wants to be rejected!). It was still exciting because it was definitely a different kind of photo experience for me. I got such a rush once I started chatting with him same time as I was taking photos. Hehe, it felt like I was a journalist for that few mins (more like half an hour!). In my dreams! Lol!

I'm pretty sure it'll take me a long while to get to my Stranger #100 but it doesn't matter, the journey is what counts. :)
