Australia Day

I went out looking for somethng that says - to me- Australia. There was the obvious; a Vegemite label, Flags flying, a gum tree, kangaroo, water skiing and jandal's thongs sporting the Aussie flag.

What I have is the river, what you don't see is the jet boat that had just gone through with people with hats and 'thongs' on and the skier flying along behind it, nor the gum trees that line the shore and the little Fairy wren and his mate flittering tantalisingly close with my camera still in the shop for at least another week. Because, in keeping with Australia Day - the shops were open so I was able to find out:)
