Lying eyes...

This is the old entrance to the Edinburgh Meat Market, latterly known as Fat Sam's - although the premiss was probably pretty much the same.

The original building was demolished to make way for yet another faceless office building, the arched entry was carefully taken down in order to be resurrected a few yards from its original home.

I was walking past at about 9:30am and saw the sunrise duelling with the shadow for pride of place on the arches.
The iPhone's camera failed to do the image any real justice, losing the warmth of the sun, so I have attempted to recreate it in the SnapSeed app. Almost as good as the real thing!
