Big boys' toys?

I joined this group of National Trust volunteers working on improving a footpath near Buttermere. The idea is that I am going to write a blog about the work of various groups of NT volunteers. This lot made me very welcome and I got stuck into clearing a ditch.
You can see from this shot that the weather was not especially dry...and you can take it from me that it got a whole lot worse. After we had finished I came home and had soup and a hot bath.
