Inner City Village
Like most cities, Bradford has absorbed older villages as it has grown. Little Horton Green is unusual though in that it's retained something of its original rural character, aided by the intact 17th-19th century stone buildings and relict green fields. It's only ten minutes walk from the city centre, and a few minutes off the edge of campus, but is overlooked by most.
This was taken in the last of the afternoon light, just as a snow flurry further darkened the scene. The horse is the usual resident of the field, but as I returned to campus, I was surprised to spot a large, black domestic rabbit keeping it company. Have you lost a rabbit?
