And The Sun Came Out

I had a good night last night at camera club, about 45 people turned out for the critique and about 50 images entered.

The night goes like this.

A given subject, last nights subject was: Interesting or unusual images of Huddersfield

3 images can be entered.


You place your images on to a series of tables, where they are numbered.

Everyone is then asked to peruse the images and rank there choices, first, second & third.

The ranking slips are collected in and tallied up.

Each image is then given an individual critique. This critique can be positive or nagative or both. I always find this part of the night interesting , listening to all the comments changes the way you look at images. It has taught me a great deal about photography, composition and how different people see different things in images.


The results.

I entered 3 images.

This image did not rank but did score 3 points

This image scored 27 points and got me 3rd place

This image got me 1st place with a score of 34 points


Very pleased with myself I had to go to the bar, a very good night made even better.
