Australia Day........
Jack, Joe and I caught a train into the city this afternoon along with Jacks' lovely friend Sam. We had some ordinary fast food for dinner then jumped on a tram heading up Swanston Street to drop in at an asian food store, where we all delighted in the foods on offer. And were very amused at some of the brand names. We spent our cash on different drinks and treats to try. A lot of fun! We wandered back to the river passing some interesting buskers, including a guy dressed up as a rabbit playing an electric guitar, which the boys thought was pretty novel! This must be a new craze as we also saw a muppet and a duck playing bagpipes! Or is this just the idiosyncrasity (is that a word) of Melbourne!
The Australia Day fireworks were pretty special. These were the first BIG fireworks the boys have seen.
It was such an enjoyable evening and I loved every minute of the time we spent together.
Very late when we got home but I just had to finish watching the rest of the movie I had been watching- "Milk". What a beautiful bit of acting by Sean Penn.
Good night!
