Goldcrest
I do believe we have a group of them visiting the garden atm. They move VERY fast so i was very pleased to get a few okish pictures of them. That was until a naughty cat came along and moved them along.
They are Europes smallest bird, smaller than a wren, A number of years ago they found a place on the list of species of conservation concern but slowly over the years the population has made a good recovery.
They have quite a pretty sharp song, which is what drew me to grabbing the camera and going hunting as i knew it wasn't the garden sparrows that are usually about.
