Ruddy Duck

This lucky fellow is one of thousands of birds that call the Sweetwater Wetlands home. This preserve lies on the very edge of the city of Tucson. It serves not only as a home to birds and other wildlife, but also helps to recharge the groundwater in this otherwise desert environment.
