The open road

A glorious morning once again as we set off with the Friday walkers - the fine weather brought them out and there were 32 of us! Fabulous blue skies and crisp winter landscapes were all around as we covered the six miles around and back to the pub for a welcome refresher. It's on mornings like this that it's great to be alive and be thankful, not least that I'm not sitting working in an office!

Back home I managed to catch the last twenty minutes of Andy Murray's valiant attempt to reach the final of the Australian Open. So near and yet so far but one day he'll do it.
