Whitehall Gardens
Strolling through the gardens this morning I happened upon Sir Henry Bartle Edward Frere, 1st Baronet, (1815-1884), who was a British colonial administrator. Not quite sure why he got a statue, but he picked a good spot for it.
A couple of unrelated points - but I felt I needed to share them with you - Tim and the view from the Shard:
Lunchtime trip to the RNIB resource centre, near St Pancras station, to collect some "talking" scales (very polite - when you switch them on they say 'hello'). Tim was very helpful, testing the scales (the first ones didn't work), and generally knowing his onions - if you are out there in Blipworld, thanks again.
