Eye of the Storm
The big storm came during the night and by late morning the rain had stopped being horizontal, which seemed to coincide with a power cut at 11.15am which was restored at 6.30pm. Not bad considering how others had been affected.
I took Ollie out to take some shots of big waves but it was disappointing. We passed quite a few fallen trees ( every storm has a silver lining - firewood ! ), but at the inlet the tide was just about at high tide with assisted wind. The sea was high, higher than I have ever seen it but the impact was lessened, I think as the wind was with the tide.
This shot shows the ramp to the pontoon on an upward incline, a first for me, and yes we did walk along it
