Modern: art? but there is postmodern art.
Modern: design? anyone up for improving the wheel?

With the speed of development in the computer industry what is modern these days?

We like the new, novel, up-to-date; some have to be the first to read the latest novel, see the latest movie, wear the latest fashion . . .

I'm a bit past it. Corning Ware developed from materials of cold war weaponry. A little more tinkering and Corelle table-ware was born in 1970 . . . This is the label on a peice when Corning still made Corelle. The newer stuff bears the legend break and chip resistant. Sudden temperature changes and constant use in a microwave oven weakens the unbreakable quality of Corelle . . .

So I was a bit stuck for these week's word: modern.
