Pink Elephants

Phew - TGIF! Long day today - left for work early today....was going to miss the ferry, so I drove around the peninsula to get to work. Surprisingly an hour drive is pretty quick....then busy day, running errands at lunch, then finally got on the ferry at 6pm (but got to enjoy a glass of wine). Out of the house for 11 hours.

Made a soup for dinner tonight with a miso base, chili oil, broccoli, green beans, green onions, cilantro, shitake mushrooms and dumplings. Yummy. Quick, easy and super tasty. I was inspired by these recipes miso soup and big slurp dumpling soup. I love this woman - she's featured in this article and she just seems to be someone I'd love to hang out with. I should have told her that when I met her at her book signing last year, but I got all shy and quiet and figured she had all sorts of weird people proclaiming stuff to her and didn't need to hear more....

About to crash out and watch a movie before bed. Good night.
