Ready to Go!

I have one excited little ballerina this morning! She woke up a bit bleary eyed, but apart from a waking at 4, slept from 7.30 til 7.30. As soon as I reminded her today is ballet, she shed her jammies and started hunting for her uniform.
So we've had one fabulous but busy day. Dancing was great. She was a little overwhelmed at first so she didnt do the warm up - she was by far the smallest there, but did well. For the modern dance they were starting their show dance, a scarecrow dance and Katie really got stuck into that one. She enjoyed the circle time doing the ballet, and did do things wtih the others and did her turn being a fairy around the outside of the circle. Then it was the tap section of the class. Which she needs tap shoes for next week. She loved it, although wasnt really ready this week to stand in the line.
After dancing we had a lovely time with Victoria, Katie gathering her previous treasures from the last visit. It was a little too brief though before we headed off for swimming. that was exciting because when we arrived at the pool, our friend Sarah had arrived to come stay for the weekend. She had a lot of fun and did lots of independent swimming, but little that the teacher asked! The pool was really noisy today, which rarely equates to Katie being at her most settled in a lesson.
We stopped to get some lunch before we headed to a charity clown show in the village. We stayed 10 minutes in the show before she made it quite clear she didnt like the clowns and wanted to go home. She had a valid point, one clown was old and creepy, the other just weird! Instead we had a lovely time at the park and then went to find bread for the ducks and fed them for quite a long time. She was very taken with a big white one.
One last stop, to the garden centre to see the pretties - and we picked up some nice last reduction bargains too - before we went for a cup of tea and a bun. A good day.
