Anniversary Cushion

I arrived chez parentals after a gruelling almost 4 hour journey. Endless streams of cars and jams on the city bypass and the entire way round Glasgow.

This followed a day with 2 colleagues from other council departments analysing school involvement in the community. A very tedious but interesting process - hard work in an office with little natural light.

A long winded way of saying that I had nothing to blip. I spotted this cushion on the chair opposite me, and chose it.

I made this for M&D's 40th wedding anniversary - 14 years ago!! It took me about 3 years to make...and mum's neighbour kindly turned the piece of stitched aida in to a beautiful cushion. I had never made one before and haven't made one since. Sometimes when I look at it, I get a wee notion - but then pick up my knitting...
