and Ipoh trip

Went with Annie to visit Eng Lai in Ipoh. Annie the expert driver managed to drive from KL to Ipoh in 2 hours. Amazing. :-) Once we reached Ipoh we started our eating trip. First destination was to Nam Heong for brunch. Love their Ipoh white coffee. Then we went for sightseeing at a temple. Climbed many seeps to reach the top and we found a lovely place to sit and had a gossip girl session. It was fun just sitting around doing nothing and chit-chatting. After that we decided to go down and had ice-cream since it was such a hot day. We then headed to town to have the famous drive-thru soya bean milk. Wanted to have the bean curd as well but it was sold out. :-( After that was shopping session for pomelos and tid bits. Next was chicken and bean sprout dinner. Saw Raymond Lam's photo at the restaurant. Wow, can't believe this shop is so famous. After dinner we went to sing karaoke. To bad they kicked us out so fast. We then headed to Eng Lai's house as it was raining. The day ended with supper of satay, fish balls and glutinous rice. A super fun and fattening trip. Thanks Eng Lai for bringing us around Ipoh and providing accommodation and thanks Annie for driving such a long distance. We should do this more often. :-)
