looking forward...

to fire pit season...these 90 degree days are getting to be too much.

this is a pic of a really cool fire pit i picked up from here...it's made out of an old propane tank.

on another note...i had a close call yesterday. i took my camera over to a friends house to take pictures of zilla (they turned out pretty good,here's one). anyway, at the end of the evening i packed up my things and i put my bag with my camera in it too close to the edge of the counter and of course...it fell off. i took a quick look at the body after it happened and everything looked o.k. but upon further inspection this morning, i saw that it had landed lens down. apparently it had hit so hard that the cap was shoved into the outer ring of the lens and worst of all, i could hear broken glass!!! it took a pair of plyers and quite a bit of elbow grease to get the cap removed and to my surprise i found a completely shattered filter and an untouched lens...woo hoo!!!
