Bronze bowl at the Bay of Skail
It is Skail, but it isn't a bronze bowl. It's half of a dhan buoy I saw on the shore and I set it up here for the photograph.
The day pretty much stayed cloudy, but I think the muted colours actually help this image. I wlaked from near the neolithic village of Skara Brae along the shore of the bay and then the cliffs to Marwick. Counting the white-winged gulls that have arrived here in unusual numbers (see previous posts) and got 70+.
